Course Overview:

TechNow's CISSP Certification Preparation Seminar is an accelerated course designed to meet the high demands of the information security industry by preparing students for the industry standard Certified Information Systems Security Professional exam.  The exam covers (ISC)²'s 8 Domains from the Common Body of Knowledge, which encompass the whole of information security.

This course is an intense 10 day program that ensures the student passes the CISSP exam on the first try.  We encourage our students to take the exam within a week after course completion.  The goal for this course is a pass rate of one and done.  Our high pass rate reflects the dedication of TechNow's students and our commitment to a ten day program that many in the industry do in 5 days.  TechNow has a proven CISSP track record that you can depend on.

Getting started with the Elastic Stack (ELK), optimizing search performance and building efficient clusters. Ingest and process data, writing complex search requests and response utilization, scaling of clusters up or down, managing indices in large clusters and multiple clusters, management of clusters and troubleshooting recommendations.

Data Management

  • Define an index that satisfies a given set of requirements
  • Define and use an index template for a given pattern that satisfies a given set of requirements
  • Define and use a dynamic template that satisfies a given set of requirements
  • Define an Index Lifecycle Management policy for a time-series index
  • Define an index template that creates a new data stream

Searching Data

  • Write and execute a search query for terms and/or phrases in one or more fields of an index
  • Write and execute a search query that is a Boolean combination of multiple queries and filters
  • Write an asynchronous search
  • Write and execute metric and bucket aggregations
  • Write and execute aggregations that contain sub-aggregations
  • Write and execute a query that searches across multiple clusters
  • Write and execute a search that utilizes a runtime field

Developing Search Applications

  • Highlight the search terms in the response of a query
  • Sort the results of a query by a given set of requirements
  • Implement pagination of the results of a search query

Data Processing

Course Overview:

SharePoint is the Premier Office Collaboration Server Suite.  Two of the most requested features to implement in any SharePoint Server environment is building custom workflows and incorporating InfoPath forms into the site.  This course aims to build the average user’s body of knowledge and skill set to allow them to take on some of this responsibility.  Students will learn the SharePoint Designer software, a free product, to do these tasks.

Over the course of the two days the users will work on a live SharePoint Server environments making changes to pages, adding pages and making Workflows.  They will learn how to build InfoPath forms and migrate them to the SharePoint environment.
