Course Overview:

The CT-325: Security+ (SY0-701) class is the primary class you will need to take if your job responsibilities include securing network services, network devices, and network traffic. It will also help you prepare for the CompTIA Security+ examination (exam number SY0-701). In the CT-325: Security+ class you’ll build on your knowledge and professional experience with computer hardware, operating systems, and networks as you acquire the specific skills required to implement basic security services on any type of computer network.  Let us help you prepare for the CompTIA Security+ exam (SY0-701).

  • Windows 7/8/10 and Server 2008/2012/2016 experience required.
  • Six to nine months experience in networking, including experience in configuring & managing TCP/IP.

Instructor comments: Instructor was very knowledgeable on all the course content. There were some instances when I felt he streamlined through some of the material too quickly, such as going over how to identify types of attacks.

Unix/Linux

Over twenty years experience in the area of Solaris, Linux, and Unix ensures that you are benefiting from a very mature and successful Solaris, Linux, and Unix training program.  TechNow offers the full suite of Solaris, Linux, and Unix courses utilizing real hardware.  This is not virtualized Solaris on Intel processors, or remote connection to a distant system.  The student learns to deal with real hardware taking advantage of Sparc T series processors. Solaris 10 and Solaris 11 is taught hands-on with data center skills as the focus.  We also offer Solaris 10 migration courses to Solaris 10 or Solaris 11.

Instructor comments: He has an excellent way of explaining things on the level that anyone can understand easily. I wasn't looking forward to this class at all but I'm really glad I attended now. I have a much clearer understanding of networking fundamentals that I never would've received via CBTs. I'd heard really good things about Tim Burkard's teaching skills and now I know they're true. I wouldn't mind taking other classes that he teaches,

Facilities comments: The facilities are really nice and there weren't any problems as far as I could tell. The hotel staff is very nice.
