TN-205: A+ Skills Class provides students with the skills, knowledge and understanding that will enable them to install, configure, upgrade, troubleshoot and repair personal computer systems.  The A+ curriculum is excellent preparation for almost any computer related career or position.  This course lays the foundation for further study in networking and programming.  Designed for the new computer professional who has support knowledge of PC hardware, but needs to expand upon that knowledge.

Attendees to the TN-205: A+ Skills Class will receive TechNow approved course materials and expert instruction.

Course Overview:

This course is extremely fast paced and for students that have already had UNIX or Linux training, or have not worked with Linux in several months or years.  This is NOT a course for students new to Linux and assumes the student requires a refresher before progressing through high end security courses that require dexterity on Linux.  RedHat and Ubuntu, VMware Virtual Machines, and BackTrack are used for the instruction of this course.  The student will acquire the skills to easily navigate the advanced VMware training environment and will be able to create scripts to manipulate and manage Linux.  The ulimate goals of the skills of this course is to provide the student the ability to automate through scripting BackTrack tools for offensive security, forensics, and defense.

Course Overview:

This course covers the key elements required to understand and apply business analysis techniques in an IT-centric business environment.  It identifies key best practices to deal with the challenges of eliciting, analyzing, and specifying project requirements.  The key material in each section of this course is reinforced with a student driven lab scenario allowing each participant hands-on practice with the key business analysis concepts that are introduced in this course. At the end of the focused sections on business analysis techniques, the students will engage in a student-driven business analysis case study blending all the learned techniques into a finished product. This course is approximately 60% lecture and  40% lab time.
