Instructor comments: He has an excellent way of explaining things on the level that anyone can understand easily. I wasn't looking forward to this class at all but I'm really glad I attended now. I have a much clearer understanding of networking fundamentals that I never would've received via CBTs. I'd heard really good things about Tim Burkard's teaching skills and now I know they're true. I wouldn't mind taking other classes that he teaches,

The Department of Defense requires that all information assurance personnel must become compliant with IT and security certification standards.

DoD 8570 training, also called Information Assurance training, is available through TechNow to provide you with the certification that is required.  Your DoD 8570 training  ( information assurance training ) at TechNow will provide you with all of the courses necessary to receive your DoD 8570.01-M certification.

Course Overview:

This course, TN-385: TCP/IP Analysis & Implementation, provides students with a comprehensive technical introduction to TCP/IP & the interworkings of TCP/IP application to UNIX, Linux and Windows in a network environment.  This course begins by providing a comprehensive protocol stack analysis.  It continues with extensive hands-on exercises needed to configure TCP/IP on UNIX and Windows based networks.

Instructor comments: The instructor was very well versed on the topic and knew how to apply it to real-life examples. He led the labs and was very excited about the topic which kept the interest of myself and other class members. Sometimes his volume level was a little high- however the room the class was in was very small. Too small for a big personality!

Facilities comments: I was unaware of the facility changes, but that was at no fault of anyone since I was a drop-in for the course. They were very helpful and quick to mediate the issue.
